Product Description

Gucchi mushrooms—locally known as Kashmiri Gucchi, Kana Guchhi, or Kanaguchhi—are wild morel mushrooms (Morchella esculenta) harvested from high-altitude forests of Jammu & Kashmir (Anantnag, Kupwara, Kangan, Doda). These are prized for their complex smoky‑nutty taste and honeycomb-like caps

 Harvest & Authenticity

  • Grows naturally in Himalayan forests, especially under deodar and pine trees post-snowline, during spring months (March–May).

  • Impossible to cultivate commercially; supply depends on skilled local foraging, making them one of India's most expensive edible fungi (₹10,000–₹30,000 / kg).
